I am officially a GREAT AUNT  Okay, I've always thought I was a great Aunt, but it became official in the last month or so.  So I made this card, which I love!!!!!

Baby Shower Gift Card Flower Bouquet

So I needed a clever way to present a Mom-to-be of Twin Girls a collection of Gift Cards. I wanted it to stand out instead of the boring ole' "Here's your gift card in a greeting card" thing.  This came to mind! And boy (Or girl), was it Fun!

Here's what you'll need:
Quality card stock.  I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and cannot say enough about the quality of their products.  And the color choices!!!  You'll also need punches:  I used the large oval and a 3 inch circle.  Embossing Machine and Folders:  I used a Cuttlebug (I haven't sprang for the Big Shot yet, but it's on my wish list) and Cuttlebug embossing folders as well as a few Big Shot folders.  Glue, long pointy sticks (kabob), raffia or Easter grass, floral foam and a pot!

1.  Cut out your flower centers with the 3" circle punch (you'll need 3 for each flower) and your petals with the large oval punch in multiple colors.  I used 8 petals for each flower.
2.  Run all 3 of your circles through your embossing machine.  This adds fabulous texture!

3.  Glue your petals to the inside of 1 of the embossed circles.  Add another circle on top of that, leaving a small area without glue so you can slide your stick through.  You've just created a paper flower that looks great from either side.

4.  Cut your 3rd center flower in half, and glue to the front of the flower. The front is the one with glue all the way around. 

5. Carefully slide your stick up through the opening of the back of the flower.

6. Place the floral foam in the pot and arrange your paper flowers to your pleasing!
7. Arrange the grass or raffia round the foam in the pot.  It is easier to slide the sticks in the foam before the grass is placed.
8. Insert the gift cards!

As a fun, personal touch, I had all the ladies sign their chosen flower and write a special message to the Mom to be!

Tangerine Birthday

Well, I haven't stamped in a while, and I certainly haven't updated my BLOG! My time flies when you're busy with work, kids and family! So, I'm on "Stay-Cation" this week, therefore, I must stamp. This is for today's sketch challenge. I really wanted to do Halloween today. I got a peek at the new holiday mini, (It's awesome) and it has some really great Halloween sets in it! As you can see, I looked over my collection of Halloween sets and went with a birthday theme instead!

This year he wanted a Batman Birthday!

He did cry when we sang 'Happy Birthday' to him, But soon recovered when he was able to stick a finger in the cake!

Here is this week's sketch challenge in SplitCoastStampers.com As you can see this is the template I (we) are given to come up with a card design. I quite enjoy these challenges, even if I do not get to participate in them as much as I used to these days.

My first card I did on Wednesday, the challenge day. She's my Free Swinging Girl! The second was done for today's challenge: the Limited Supply. Today was to use 1 wheel stamp, 1 stamped image, 1 sentiment, and 1 embellishment. This is the "manly" card I came up with today. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Well, I know her birthday was near the beginning of March, But I have been so busy, I haven't even had time to think about posting!

I read somewhere that Jen said she loved Owls, but doesn't know why she doesn't collect. I knew that my new 'Owl Together Now' set was the perfect choice for her birthday card!

Honey Mustard Thanks

Great Title, huh? Get it... Honey pot and the paper color is Mustard... I know corny! I love this cute little set (Just Buzzin' By) even more than I thought I would when I saw it in the preview!

Always in Black

It's a Limited Supply Challenge. Black BackGround Card. I used 2 of the year's In Colors: Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red. I uploaded to SCS about 1030 this morning, and it still hasn't been approved, so here it is until then! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Winter on the Slope

It's very cold today in Florida today. So maybe that is what inspired me to make a "Winter" card! This paper is called Ski Slope and I just 'had to have it', so now I 'need to use it'. I don't make too many white background cards, but I did today, and am very pleased with the outcome. Thanks for stopping by for a visit today!

Pinks on Inauguration Day!

Fun Colors of Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss and Bravo Burgundy. This is an old sketch, but I really like it.

I've been neglecting my blog lately. It will be even more neglected when I have to go back to work full time next month!

Now I'm off to watch some of the Inauguration. I have never watched one before, but I figure it's such a historic event, I should watch the swearing in. Plus I want to see what Michelle is wearing!!!!

Another Wednesday, Another fun sketch! I used bright happy colors today. My background medallions were inspired by some snowflakes I saw on a medical scrub top. I tried to re-create the same effect here by first inking with So Saffron and then rolling the edges of the stamp on the Cameo Coral pad. I really like the outcome. Thanks for stopping by. SC204 Swirly Tree

Today's Sketch is awesome. It' so versatile. I love this set called Snow Swirled. The only problem I have is that I have such a hard time picking out a a tree topper for this tree. This was the best option of them all today. Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

CC194 Really Going Vanilla

Can you believe Jen wanted to sell this stamp set??? SO glad she let me have (borrow) it! This is my Fall / Thanksgiving card. The colors to use today are Really Rust, Very Vanilla and Going Grey. Can you see the grey??? There really is some on here. It was tough to get it on there, but it's there.

Chocolate Party!

Today's Limited Supplies Challenge: Chocolate Theme. Must use chocolate paper and ink somewhere on the project. I chose a cupcake birthday theme. Stampin' Up!'s Chocolate Chip is currently my favorite color. It goes with just about all the other colors. Thanks for peeking into my BLOG today! Have a great weekend!

Loving Skaters

Isn't this Fun? Today I was to use Kraft, Black and Red as my main colors. This is a two- way open card. The bottom gate panel opens out and then, the inner tree panel opens up. I have seen other stampers use the Trees as a background and that inspired this card today. The iced pond is made out of glitter blended in Crystal Effects. My lady is glittered up too!
